The discovery of a tomb in Central China's Hunan Province containing the bodies of a couple who lived during China's Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) went viral on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo on Monday.
According to a report from the Xinhua News Agency, a small window was built between the individual graves for the husband and wife to act as a type of "fairy bridge" so the two would be able to be together in the afterlife, expressing ancient people's hopes for an everlasting marriage even after death.
Many Chinese netizens took to social media to talk about the "romantic" nature of the people of the dynasty and to send their best wishes to the late couple. As of Monday, the hashtag for the archeological discovery has earned 130 views on Sina Weibo.
