To celebrate the 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Montenegro, an exhibition of the traditional villages of the two countries was held at the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture in Beijing, on Aug 15.
Among the 120 panels at the exhibition, some 60 were about the geographic features of the south, middle and north parts of Montenegro and its regional architecture. There was also a comparison and analysis of the historical villages from the 18th to 19th century in the country.
The other 60 panels featured the general situation of traditional Chinese villages, inheritance of intangible culture heritage and present preservation work.
Chen Fafen, deputy-director of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture, said the exhibition showed the beauty of the villages from the two countries, which would let the two nations get to know each other better.
The exhibition will run from August 15 to 21 and later be unveiled in Cetinje in Montenegro from September to October.
